Can You Look Fear in the Face?

You receive this letter from me because you are interested in getting rich and being financially free. You clicked the button that said:

You are tired of spacing your bills out because you can’t afford to pay them as they come in.

You don’t want to have to check your bank balance before you pull out cash from the ATM.

You are tired of looking at the price tag of items you want before you decide whether or not to buy it.

You no longer want to deny yourself the opportunity of going out with friends or going on vacation because you are scared about not having enough money.

You no longer want to live like this.

If you are here to get rich then let’s get started.  I will show you the path to financial freedom.

Instead of mowing your lawn yourself, now you can hire a gardener to do it for you.

Now you can walk into any restaurant and order any bottle of wine for the table without looking at the price.

You can go on vacation without planning a year ahead for it.

If you see something you want at a store you can buy it without worry, you know you have enough money in your account to cover the purchase.

Always wanted a man cave, but didn’t have the space? You can move to a bigger house that has 15, 20, 30+ rooms!

Your kids can go to the best schools and you can afford their college tuition without cutting into your lifestyle.

I’m not psychic but I’m betting you said that you want some if not all of those things that being financially free provides. If so, then I’ve got to ask: What have you done to make it happen?

Have you taken any classes that will teach you how to get rich?

Have you started your own business?

Have you tried marketing any products online?

Have you spent time implementing the strategies you’ve learned?

Again this is just a guess but I’m guessing some of you are lacking a bit in the action department. Despite knowing you have to do something to achieve wealth, you’ve done little to nothing.

Before you hang your head in shame or feel too much guilt, let me first say that I understand. And that you are not alone.

People across the nation associate the process of making money as something that is hard to do or painful in nature. It sounds ridiculous but it’s true.

The negative feelings most likely come from our past experiences with earning money. Most people work to live instead of live to work. They hate their jobs, despise their bosses, think their co-workers are idiots and feel like they will never escape the rat race.

After that kind of experience earning money I’m not surprised many of us have a fear of putting in any more effort to get more of it.

But that’s the wrong way to think. And if you want to get rich and achieve financial freedom you’re going to have to change the way you think about earning money.

One of the biggest misconceptions that stop people from putting in any additional effort to get rich is the association they make between money and time. It’s important to rid yourself of the idea that it takes a lot of time to make money. You CAN make gobs of money and NOT slave away at your job.

I want you to realize that there are ways to get rich without working hard or too many hours. There are online business opportunities out there right now that require just a few hours a week of your time and effort AND bring in real wealth.

I also know that a lot of people are hemmed in from becoming rich by fear of the unknown. What does starting an online business entail? How much money do I need to start up this business? How much time will I need to devote each day to making this new business work? What do I need to know to make this business work?

The fear of trying is a huge hurdle for most people to overcome. In truth most people who read this letter will never get rich. Not because they’re not smart enough or inept in any way, but because they’ll never take that first step towards wealth.

Do you remember your first day on the job? You probably didn’t know half of the things you do now. But you took that first step and now you have a way to earn money. In order to grow and change our lives for the better you must try new things. Take the odd chance that something new will work out. You’ll never get rich if you don’t try.

For some that first step will never come without knowing where to go. They perceive their lack of expertise in online marketing as a hurdle too big for them to overcome.

To me that’s ludicrous. I send three letters a week talking about how easy it is to run online businesses. I write about the things that have worked for me, ways to cut overhead costs, and give out new business ideas each week. Heck, I even invented a software program that does all the set up work for you, all you have to do is push a few buttons.

It’s not like you have to re-invent the wheel either to have a successful business and make a lot of money. Sometimes people get too caught up in trying to create a product or service that no one has ever seen before. They think that the only way to make their business a success is to be a true innovator. That’s not true at all.

Sam Walton (founder of Wal-Mart) wasn’t the first to open a general store offering products for cheap. Walt Disney didn’t invent the idea of amusement parks. Jeff Bezos (the founder of Amazon.com) wasn’t the first to sell things online. Howard Shultz (the founder of Starbucks) wasn’t the first guy to ever open up a coffee shop.

The idea that you have to be the first to be successful is a fallacy. Creating a business that is successful and will make you a lot of money is about doing whatever you do well. Teach others how to do something that you know how to do.

You need to stop being scared of trying something new and what you think you don’t know.

Have you ever seen After Earth with Will Smith? I know it was a commercial flop, but if you haven’t seen it I’d recommend it. Not because it was a great masterpiece (although the graphics were top notch), but because it has a great message. In the movie Will Smith’s character tells his son how he overcame his fears to become a great warrior. He says:

“Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me danger is very real but fear is a choice. We are all telling ourselves a story and that day mine changed.”

Do not let something that is a figment of your imagination hold you back from achieving real wealth. Fear is an illusion; it only exists if you let it. You can let your imagination run wild and hold you back from ever getting wealthy and living the kind of life you’ve always wanted or you can look fear in the face and say, Screw You!

What story do you want your life to tell? Will you let fear rule your life or will you change your story to include a happy ending.

To Your Future!
