Pelosi Hijacks America Over Her Weird Planned Parenthood Fetish

admin March 23, 2020 News Comments Off on Pelosi Hijacks America Over Her Weird Planned Parenthood Fetish

Well, it looks like we won’t have to worry about Republicans failing to retake the House of Representatives this November. Not even the Republican National Committee could manage to bungle the softball that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has tossed over the plate for them. After observing President Trump’s rising popularity with the voters over his handling of the Chinese bat soup flu (or bioweapon), Pelosi has decided to block the president’s proposed stimulus rescue package… for Planned Parenthood.

Things were cruising along for the Senate to pass the rescue package, which includes direct cash assistance to workers, small businesses and industries hammered by the Chinese virus. But then Pelosi walked into a meeting with Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY). After Pelosi gave Schumer the stink eye in that meeting, Senate Democrats torpedoed the rescue package on Pelosi’s orders.

The Senate was unable to invoke cloture and start debating the bill, after Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) announced that he had contracted coronavirus and was going into self-quarantine. Several other Senators also went into isolation because they’d been in contact with Rand Paul – and the vote failed 47-47.

Side note: Here’s hoping for a swift recovery for Senator Paul and anyone else with the Chinese bat soup flu. I don’t want anyone to die from some disgusting illness that is all China’s fault. I don’t even want Harvey Weinstein to die from it; I hope he recovers so he can spend the rest of his 23-year sentence in prison at Rikers Island!

Pelosi is apparently now running the Senate Democrats, since Chuck Schumer is following her orders. Great idea, Schumer! Pelosi says she wants to “strengthen worker protections” in the bill before agreeing to pass it. And by “worker protections” she means “taxpayer funding for abortions” and new global warming emissions standards for the airline industry.

Because those are the things that American workers are really worried about when they find themselves suddenly non-working because of a government-ordered shutdown.

To call this a tone-deaf miscalculation on Pelosi’s part would be the biggest understatement since the New York Times gave Hillary Clinton a 90% chance of winning the 2016 election. Speaking of the New York Times, even that decrepit excuse for fake news hammered Pelosi and Senate Democrats for nuking the rescue package.

Of course, the Times went back and changed the headline half a dozen times to soften the blow, but everybody knows it was the Democrats who played politics during a national crisis as many of their own voters were suddenly unemployed.

Jeff Bezos’ blog (the Washington Post) along with NBC’s Today Show also placed the blame for the holdup squarely on Pelosi and Schumer’s withered, elderly shoulders. If you need further proof that one of the seals of the apocalypse has broken open, even Mitt Romney is no longer supporting Nancy Pelosi’s agenda. Romney used his official Twitter account (not the Pierre Delecto account) to declare that if Pelosi and Schumer “keep this up a little longer we will go from social distancing to social destruction.”

Ouch! When Pelosi has lost Mitt Romney’s vote…

President Trump has done such a spectacular job in the response to this Chinese flu thing that even Governors like Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) and Nancy Pelosi’s Nephew (California Governor Gavin Newsome) have been praising him. Even Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) tweeted kind words for the president’s leadership. (Although, come to think of it, maybe she’s just buttering him up in case she needs a presidential pardon soon.)

But the Democrat Party leadership under Pelosi has become such a bunch of petrified fossils that they are incapable of budging an inch from their core doctrines, even in a time of national emergency. Trump’s proposal for direct cash assistance for workers is, fundamentally, a reworking of the Universal Basic Income that Pelosi’s base has been clamoring for. And she can’t budge on that?

For the record, I’m not a fan of the direct cash assistance. I’d rather it was done in the form of tax credits. But whatever.

In this case, government destroyed a bunch of jobs and hurt a lot of people through these Chinese bat soup flu shutdowns, so government ought to bail those people out. Those workers didn’t lose their jobs through any fault of their own. Bailing out workers after government killed their jobs is a hell of a lot more appealing than bailing out Wall Street and the banks after they caused the 2008 meltdown.

Meanwhile, if you’re a Democrat voter, welcome to the world that Republican voters lived in for 30-plus years. The “leaders” of the Republican party sucked rotten eggs for decades, and the only way they finally got the message was when we sent Donald Trump to the White House.

You, as a Democrat voter, can make a similar choice next November! Vote Nancy Pelosi out of power in the House, and vote for the only presidential candidate who is working to preserve your dignity and way of life. (Spoiler alert: I’m not talking about Joe Biden.)
