UK “Slacker” Clears $1,000 a Month with His Spin on “Business Arbitrage”

A Couple of Emails and a Little Work is all it Takes!

8:11 AM

Dear Entrepreneur:

Robert T. was smiling after I finished blabbing about a web-based business I was researching.

“I make $1,000 month in my web-based business. And I bet you’ll never guess what it is”, he said.  “Okay money bags….let me hear it”, I said.

He did…and I was shocked.

The Real Secret to Success

Imagine two men landing on this planet, having escaped a world where running a business is forbidden.

One man has $100K on him, but no real skills.

The other man is dead broke… but is thoroughly schooled in the fundamentals of succeeding in business.

Which man would you bet on to succeed? Click here to read on.

“Not only that”, Robert said. “I’m kind of a “slacker”.  I like to work but I love playing more”!

There’s nothing new under the sun when it comes to business, products or services. And I’ve seen (or reviewed) more than a thousand business ventures and opportunities over the last 30 years or so.  I still get excited when entrepreneurs are finding new ways to apply old concepts, models and ideas.  That’s why Robert’s approach to arbitrage caught my eye.

Here’s the deal…

Robert makes money setting up arbitrage deals on business services.  He said he rarely makes under 650 pounds ($1,000 USD), sometimes more.

Robert acts as a middle man on all kinds of service type businesses.  For example, let’s say a business in a specific geographic area needs some programming done, or help with Photoshop or maybe a website designed.

Okay, Robert would set up a website or blog focused on each of these services and a geographic area like Minneapolis, or Lincoln Nebraska or Freeport Maine.  At the top of the website or blog Robert would put the service and town, like “website development Lincoln Nebraska”.

You can secure a domain name for this as well.  Robert uses a great SEO trick in that he makes sure his title, keywords, description, domain name and content type all match.  Then you submit the website or blog into the top search engines.

Granted, there are dozens of ways to market a service like this online and off.   But the first step should always be a website, blog or Facebook Fan Page submitted into the top search engines.  This tactic will produce tons of free traffic for months or years.  The objective is to offer to design or create a web site for clients for $300-$500, which is fairly typical.

The best part …

Now go to odesk.com and retain a website designer in a country like India, Pakistan, Crotia, Bulgaria or any where there’s wide currency differential.  You could easily retain a web designer in India to build a website for $50-$100.

And that’s where the “arbitrage” comes into play.   You buy something cheap and sell it at a premium.

If you charge your customers $500 and you pay the designer in India $100, you pocket the difference or $400 (minus costs to build and host your site of course).

Believe it or not this is what most of large web design companies do!  Heck…even small web design firms and programmers are getting in on the act!

Now you can profit from this opportunity!

How to Profit from Government Spies

Good news: there IS a way to directly get back at the crooks in the establishment who smashed the dreams of generations.

This under the radar opportunity has even been government sanctioned? Click here for details.

There are dozens of business services you could offer, such as search engine optimization, programming, web design, network security, iPhone applications, and e-commerce applications.  You can outsource anything on odesk.com.

So you become the middle man between the freelancers on odesk and people in your local area searching for that kind of service.  It’s a brilliant business model.

SEO companies charge thousands a month.  You could charge thousands too but hire someone from odesk (or dozens of other freelance sites) to do it for a couple of hundred dollars.

You pocket the difference!

That’s what I’m talking about!

Marc Charles

*** Action Strategy ***

Business arbitrage is easy.  And the best part is you really don’t need a boatload of cash to start.

Robert focused on a geographical area and offered business services like website development, SEO and programming.

He would quote a price for a project. Then he would retain freelancers (usually from overseas because it was cheaper) on oDesk, and dozens of other sites. He would secure a set price for the project from them and a deadline for completion.

Then Robert would deliver the project on time, and sometimes under budget.

His profit on the “arbitrage” would be the difference in the price he charges customers and the price he contracts for the actual work.

Very cool!
